This work looks at the advent of an almighty savior, the “Green Index”. This numerically based index is relied upon by planners, policy makers, and developers to make their work more “sustainable”. The two lists compare the linguistics used in the Green Index with those used to describe living ecological systems. This piece encourages viewers to critically engage with these standards of language and these standards of thought.
